When the Club was originally founded has been lost in the mists of time, current records go back to 1974. Since then the Club has held it’s training sessions in the same place, for 30 years now – Harvie's Leisure Centre in Saltcoats. We are one of only a handful of ScotSAC clubs who have 2 full hours of pool time every week, kindly donated by North Ayrshire Council.

The membership of the club has fluctuated over the years, currently sitting at around 30, and has a more active membership than ever before.

At the start of 2000 the Club was able to purchase a large selection of new kit, thanks to a Sport Scotland Lottery Grant. We have sufficient kit for Pool and Open Water Training including Dry Suits.

To maximise the club’s exposure we will be running Try Dives and various publicity generating events throughout the year to attract new members.

Diving Trips

Every Sunday and some Saturdays weather permitting from Largs, diving Clyde shipwrecks and the many scenic dives off the Cumbraes.

2-3 extended trips throughout the year, visiting places such as Scapa Flow, the Sound of Mull and the Red Sea.

Experience

Within the club our Branch Instructors have a combined total of over 2000 dives and been diving in the Clyde area for the past 20 years.
